Restoration Services

Restoration is about more than improving appearance. It begins with careful inspection and an honest understanding of how a piece was made, why it has deteriorated and what is required to put it right. Timber may have moved, joints may have weakened or sunlight and moisture may have taken their toll, but with the correct approach much can be preserved.

Many of the items entrusted to me are not only valuable, but treasured. They carry history, sentiment and years of daily use.
 

My role is to retain that character wherever possible, stabilising and strengthening the structure, repairing damage with sympathetic materials and ensuring that any intervention feels natural and in keeping with the original craftsmanship.
 

The aim is always the same – to return strength, balance and integrity while respecting the story the piece already holds.
